Correct Joint Commission Statement of Deficiencies, Phase II, Poplar Bluff, MO VAMC

This project is a renovation project primarily located on the third and fourth floors of the main hospital. The project is sensitive in that it is located immediately adjacent to and involves work directly in occupied patient treatment areas of the hospital. Infection control and noise abatement are critical to project success. The work involves significant structural and systems demolition, rewiring and upgrade to the electrical system, replumbing, re-ducting and upgrade of the HVAC system, to include a new air handler being installed on the roof of the fourth floor. It also featured architectural work including flooring, wall construction, doors & hardware, glazing, drywall, painting, wall and door protection, and acoustical ceilings. Work was added when structural damage to the existing concrete, waffle roof deck was discovered, necessitating reinforcement prior to proceeding with in-scope work.
